Speaking about the campaign, Robbie said: ‘The cat is out of the bag, I’m Felix’s new voice.

“I’ve been a lifelong fan of cats, I’ve had many feline friends over the years and after studying their fascinating behavior I can confidently say, it’s great to be a cat.”

In a video, Robbie also explained that he had always wanted to write a song for an advertisement, as he described his latest track as an “earworm”.

He said, “I wanted to write a song for a commercial, and this song is an absolute earworm”. The melody is good, the lyrics are good, the music is good. People will feel soft and warm and fuzzy and then feel annoyed that the song is still in their head.

His latest professional adventure comes after Robbie and Mark Owen delighted Take That fans as they reunited in a fun Instagram video on Sunday.

The pair were filmed by Robbie’s wife, Ayda Field, as they ate pizza while bizarrely sitting in high chairs.

Mark, 50, and Robbie joked they were the babies of the group as they sat in high chairs belonging to Robbie’s daughter Coco, four, and son Beau, two.

Ayda joked, “I enjoyed you both in the baby chairs. I think it’s a good look,” as Robbie replied, “There was nowhere else for us to sit. And we are also the babies of the group.’

Fans were very excited to see the two singers together, rushing to thank Ayda for sharing the clip.

The reunion comes after Mark recently said he would “love” Robbie to join Take That.

Take That formed in 1989 and have achieved 12 number one singles on the UK Singles Chart as well as eight number one albums and are currently the most successful boy band in UK chart history.

The original line-up included 47-year-old Robbie, who left the band in 1995 and forged a phenomenal solo career. The group disbanded a year later.

In 2006 the band – without Robbie – reunited and again enjoyed great success.

Robbie returned to the band in 2010 for the new Progress album but quit once in 2014.

Mark has previously said that he, Gary Barlow and Howard Donald are planning their next three-part album, but hope Robbie might join them at some point.

Take That fans were also waiting for the release of Greatest Days.

The film follows a young boy band inspired by, but not the same as, the actual pop band and compromises newcomers Aaron Bryan, Dalvin Cory, Joshua Jung, Mark Samaras and Mervin Noronha.
