Barcelona’s hopes of landing Diogo Dalot appear to be over with the Portuguese defender reportedly in advanced talks over a new five-year contract to stay at Manchester United.

Now Spanish release Mundo Deportivo report that these talks are at an “advanced” stage and that the offer on the table is a five-year contract.
The Portuguese defender’s current deal was due to expire this summer until United triggered a 12-month extension before Christmas to keep him until June 2024.
Barcelona had made no secret of their desire to refresh their full-back options, but Dalot has impressed under Erik ten Hag and he likes the intensity of English football too.
