Laura Hamilton has revealed the reason why she’s glamorous for every episode of A Place In The Sun.

The 40-year-old TV presenter is frequently seen in stylish ensembles when she hosts the Channel 4 show in various locations around the world.

And she took to Instagram on Monday to let her followers know why she dresses in her outfits, including high heels.

Sharing a photo of herself in a light beige sweater and Tiffany knit and leather leggings from The Fashion Basement which she paired with a pair of peep toe platform heels in the Spanish town of Arboleas, she wrote: ‘Not my usual @aplaceinthesunofficial attire but if it’s sunny here it’s pretty cold!

“People often comment on my heels and if you watch my stories you’ll understand one of the reasons why I wear them!”

She added, “You can’t hear what I’m saying in my last story, but basically I’m wearing such high heels because I’m only 5’2 and sometimes the cameramen are really tall!!!”

It comes after Laura said she was focusing on herself following her split from husband Alex Goward.

She revealed to her fans online that she was hitting the gym, taking flying lessons and renovating her new home.

Addressing the daily star On Thursday, the TV personality gave a glimpse into her life 12 months after splitting from her husband.

She explained: “I have set up a small gym and have a fitness regimen with my friend, who lives with me at the moment, and we work out. I think having a training partner keeps you motivated.

“I don’t think hanging on to weight is good. It’s just how I feel, and feeling healthy is more important to me than what the scale says.

She also added, “I’m learning to fly so I can fly myself to my own travel destinations.” I’ve done 16.5 hours so far so I still have to get away but I’m enjoying it and would like to get my license this year – fingers crossed.

Laura shares two children, Rocco, nine, and Tahlia, seven, with ex-husband Alex, but they had remained on good terms following their split.

Last month, the presenter swapped A Place In The Sun for a chalet in the snow during an amicable festive holiday in the French Alps with ex.

The presenter, who announced the end of her 13-year marriage in May, previously confirmed the former couple had pre-arranged Boxing Day ski holidays after agreeing to spend Christmas together.

Laura – an avid skier – shared a series of photos from the slopes, including a group photo of herself and Alex, 41, alongside their children and a wider group of family members .

She also posted photos of herself in overalls, hard hat and snow goggles as she showed off her skills on one of the mountain ski runs.

Captioning the photos, she wrote: “Spectacular scenery, spectacular snow and the spectacular Sarenne (the longest black run in Europe). Today was a good day…

“I’m always grateful to spend time on the snow, and this time it’s with a great group of friends and our little ones!”
